Professor Mounira HMANI is a distinguished researcher and faculty member at the Faculty of Sciences of Sfax, Tunisia, with extensive expertise in human molecular genetics and molecular biology. Her research focuses on human genetic variation and novel gene discovery, contributing to advancements in understanding hereditary diseases.
She has coordinated and participated in numerous national and international research projects, promoting scientific collaboration and knowledge exchange. Professor HMANI has served as Principal Investigator for three MENA projects in partnership with Sweden.
Author of many peer-reviewed publications and presenter at several international conferences, she has received multiple prestigious distinctions, including the National Presidential Prize for Scientific Research (2012) and the L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Awards (2002 and 2012). Her scientific leadership, project management expertise, and strong international collaborations make her a driving force in interdisciplinary research and innovation.
