Pr. Souad ROUIS
Head of the Biopesticides Laboratory, Senior Researcher at the Biotechnology Center of Sfax (CBS), Tunisia –Active Member of ADRIC.
Professor Souad ROUIS is an honorary member of ADRIC, Head of the Biopesticides Laboratory, and Associate Professor at the Biotechnology Center of Sfax (CBS), Tunisia. She joined CBS in 1991 as an engineer, earned her PhD in 2001, and obtained her habilitation in 2009.
Her research focuses on bioprocess development, enzyme engineering, and the valorization of biological resources for sustainable applications. She also leads the SAFWA Project, which promotes biotechnological innovation in environmental and agricultural sustainability.
Professor ROUIS is the co-founder of BiotechRDP (2008), a startup specialized in diagnostic tools for human and animal health, which received the First Prize for “High Potential Startup” at the U.S. Investor Days event in Tunisia (2011).
She has authored over 70 peer-reviewed publications and actively contributes to national and international collaborations linking science, innovation, and sustainable development.
